This post is a result of several customers upgrading to the Almost Free Website only to find out it doesn't support feature X, Y, or Z. The main purpose of the Almost Free Website is to provide an easy upgrade path to a service with a domain or subdomain associated with the original free website. In addition. the service increases the webspace allowed. However, it does not include advanced features like PHP, FrontPage support, or CGI access. (More)

I have seen in increased number of "spam trackbacks". These are spammy links back to other locations, usually with generic "great article" type comments -- with links back to porn, "enhancement" drugs, or gambling sites. If you also use pLog and need to remove all your trackbacks, look at this post. (More)

ChurchServe will be adding new features to all of the hosting account services. Not everyone's accounts will be immediately upgraded, but we will work with our customers to ensure they are migrated to the new features as needed. We are also going to expand the space given to the free website service and we are considering other changes to make all our services even better than before.

Subdomain Services Revised

Posted by jason 12:43 | Permalink Permalink | Comments comments (0) | Trackback Trackbacks (0) | Services Update
ChurchServe has changed the subdomain services available. Perviously, we provided several levels of subdomain name services. However, with the low cost of domain name registrations, subdomains have deminished in popularity. We have reduced our service offering to a single level in accordance with demand. We have also changed the features and web space allowance accordingly.
